You know the old saying if it’s dumb but works then it’s not dumb? Well unfortunately not everyone has understood the saying. The majority of us can at times not think everything through but for some people ignoring all logic and choosing to do things practically with their brain switched off eventually leads to some hairy situations.
Results range from some form of accident or other misfortune to possibly even worse circumstances. It’s easy to say these individuals have not even attempted to use that thing between their ears and their terrible ideas will leave you feeling like the smartest person in the world.
1. That Looks Comfy
There’s nothing worse than waiting for that tardy friend of ours who is always late and never telling the truth about when they have left or when they’ll arrive, if ever. You try and find a seat nearest you and often might not be paying your complete attention to what your keister comes to rest upon, however, this guy has gone a bit too far.
Our lack of concentration might be worse when tired and bored but does this guy really not notice how fragile a chair he has found himself. One little bump and the egg tower is going to scramble underneath him.
2. Thanks, UPS
This one is less the stupidity of those affected and more how stupidity can affect others. These unlucky individuals had to experience this first hand when a not so caring employee decided to drop the box off in front of the door like this. Now, this wouldn’t have been a problem if the poor soles were coming back to their house and came across the package from outside, however unfortunately for them, the UPS man dropped off the package whilst they were still inside.
Pretty confusing situation to be in when you can’t escape from your own house. Apparently, the deliveryman or delivery woman jammed the package under the doorknob like this to keep it out of harm’s way not checking to see if there were people inside.
3. Go Nuts For Donuts
We’ve all seen in movies and maybe even at a motorsport event when a driver decides to burn some rubber by doing a few donuts. However, these drivers are usually on solid land and not on a frozen lake. Some clever individuals had the great idea of trying it out on the slippery surface with not so great results.
The car drifted across the ice one or two times before plummeting into the icy depths. Luckily the driver and his accomplices managed to escape the car before it sank to the bottom of the lake, but they’ll have a hard time explaining this to the insurance company.
4. Showering With Your Car
Everyone is all for hitting two birds with one stone, but some people try a little too hard to save time. Two guys did just that when they decided to strip down, throw on some goggles and open the sunroof when getting their car washed.
Not sure it was their first time or not as most people are happy to stay nice and dry when getting their car washed. Maybe the average person who has time to clean their car has time to also shower, but not these guys. I think the average person would not only be trying to avoid getting them and the inside of their car wet but also avoid getting hit by the soapy rags, maybe these guys also wanted a little wake-up call.
5. I Don’t Think It Fits
Eyeballing the size of things can sometimes be tricky, but when you’re making a large purchase it often makes sense to do a little research on the measurements of your car and the newly bought item. It’s like buying new furniture when you don’t even know the dimensions of the room you’re trying to put it in.
Something many of us understand. However, there is always one individual that forgets this golden rule and is left struggling with their new purchase. This woman is a perfect example of pure hope that everything will work out, even though that package is far from in her car.
6. Safety First
I understand that at times, when working on a task, we might skip a couple of steps in the process. That said, safety is usually one we try and take a bit more seriously.
For that reason, I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. He’s working with hot flying sparks coming from the metal tubing, and the lack of hand protection is a start but the I think the more hilarious attempt at complying to safety is in the plastic bag for face and eye protection. It must have worked for him but we definitely don’t recommend to do this at home.
7. Heat In The Kitchen
Now you might not be one of the best cooks to ever grace this beautiful planet of ours, but I hope a mistake similar to this one has never happened anywhere near your kitchen or home. It takes a special kind of ability to light a pot like this on fire and is usually the result of too high a heat, not paying attention and complete lack of skill.
Whoever it was that managed to do this, young or old, has some serious learning to do, however, I think that can wait till the smoke clears and the pot is cleaned (if possible).
8. Almost There
Back to driving, but this time not on a frozen lake, but instead on an offroad dirt track, where this driver has unfortunately found himself in a bit of a pickle. These things can at times be a bit of a handful but I think it’s safe to say the driver might have had a bit of a heavy foot on this particular day.
Maybe it was a wrong turn, an unexpected animal appearance or just a little too much speed that caused the driver to make such a mistake. Personally I think we’ll never know what caused the incident but I think it’s a mountain bike might be a better option next time.
9. Tight Squeeze
Sometimes you wonder how something came to be and in the case of this parking, a number of questions arise. Let’s start with the obvious question of, how did it get there? This one we unfortunately, or fortunately, don’t have an answer for but, it does make for a funny thought. I think the second question is, how are they going to get out of there?
The man standing behind the cars seems pretty concerned so hopefully he managed to find an answer to that one. And my final question is if the driver still has their license? If so I hope they stay well clear of any parking lot near me.
10. This Seat Is Also Not Recommended
Whatever bout our last gut waiting for his friend, this guy seems to be waiting around at work, or on duty, we should say. In many situations, law enforcement around the world is there to protect us from doing any harm to ourselves or others but we think someone should intervene to make sure this officer doesn’t cause any harm to himself.
We get that hanging around waiting for some crime to happen so you can soring into action is boring, but surely there is a chair that doesn’t fire bullets around. Either way, it makes for a great picture.
