Office Jobs Can Be Boring, Or They Can Be Hilarious, As These Pictures Will Show You Bild: Lolostock / Shutterstock.comThe mundane Monday through Friday office work that many of us endure can be a struggle at the best of times, but with the right attitude and a smile on your face, even the worst of office work can be made enjoyable. Just like the people in the following photos, remember to not take yourself too seriously. Work is serious enough with letting yourself make a joke or have a laugh. Maybe the following photos will even be an inspiration for how to think outside the box when it comes to the tricky topics and situations the average worker has to endure. 1. It’s Not Wasted Wine But An Opportunity A couple of questions arise from this photo once the details are explained, so let’s start from the start. The stain is from spilt wine. Now I know Mondays can be hard but is hitting the bottle at work totally necessary? I think like everyone a coffee spill makes a little more sense. At least our wine drinker got creative in covering up his little spillage. One can even argue the wine didn’t go to waste but instead was transformed into a beautiful and artistic office addition. We still don’t recommend spilling wine on your office carpet, the boss might not like it. 2. Stop AskingWe all have been placed beside a colleague who seems to have more people chasing after him than others. And this colleague is also usually the one missing from his desk more often than others. As a result, we receive the question of “where is Ed” more than we do any other human communication. This obviously happened to poor Andrew, Ed’s colleague. Tired and sick of it Andrew decided to take action and answer all the incoming questions he knew would be coming his way Monday to Friday morning, with a simple, yet effective, flowchart. Hopefully, this the rest of the office find Ed. 3. Paleontology DepartmentAll sorts of questions to start this one. Where are they, what are they doing and how do I find one of these amazing costumes? We managed to get the answers to a couple of these questions and it makes it even more entertaining. They’re in a palaeontology office, where once a year the staff are welcomed to wear whatever they want to work. Whether it was a coincidence or perfect planning, it must have got plenty of laughs if not surprises. Apparently the office boss was not in on the joke so had to manage these dinosaurs the whole day with or without smiling too much. 4. Power Rangers Are In A MeetingJust like in our previous slide, there was a bit of a loose dress code this day and the team took full advantage. Power Rangers are usually “A Go”, but today they seem quite busy. Compared to the dinosaurs in the previous slide, it’s apparent that these guys organised their incredible outfits and if we’re honest staged the meeting too, so everyone could get a rather interesting picture from their workday. That said, maybe they were having a serious Power Ranger meeting. Not sure what the Power Rangers would need to discuss. Do you have any idea what their meeting would be on? 5. What’s The Point? This sign is absolutely hilarious. We all know the intentions of those who tried to speed up lunchtime queues had their hearts in the right place, it was just that maybe the fuses weren’t. It’s also a classic office situation where a good idea gets interrupted by something further down the line. So now the poor staff of this office have to heat up their lunchtime meal in a single file while the second microwave sits idly by. Almost in a slight taunting fashion. Oh well, maybe they make a lunchtime rotation schedule so everyone can heat up their Tupperware’s. 6. Natural DisasterSometimes the answer to more complicated problems are solved simply. As governments around the globe work hard to develop technology to detect and understand earthquakes while also minimizing their harm, these post-grad students came up with an easier and more cost-effective idea. Best of all their solution is pretty easy to understand. If the eyes are stable and looking forward, continue with work. If the eyes are shaking, rattling or moving in any way, it’s probably a good idea to get in a doorway or under a desk. Who knows maybe you’ll see this kind of technology in your office soon. 7. She Looks BusyOne thing we all enjoy is someone thinking outside the box. Especially when it comes to “working smarter not harder”. Sometimes it is very simple and just requires a good photo, a printer and maybe some use of perspective. When everyone is busy on a Friday afternoon, and you know they won’t be looking too into your office space too much, you can push your luck on what you can and can’t get away with. This lady did just that. She must have enjoyed her Friday afternoon off while the rest of the office was left wondering how she could work so much.8. Safety FirstIt’s sadi that the average individual now spends around 3 hours on his or her phone daily. With that in mind, it’s absolutely no wonder this sign was introduced into an office in the United States. We’ve all seen those viral videos of crazy things going on as the people witnessing stand by and simply record for later publication. But I think we’d all agree, first thing first, safety. Make sure you get yourself and all your colleagues out of the building before making your viral tweet. “OMG! Fire at work today! Probably cause our office is lit #officelife #wesurvived”. 9. Pretty SimpleNow, something we’ve all experienced. You’ve got up early that morning, made yourself a fantastic sandwich. On your way to work, you’re already excited to unwrap that culinary masterpiece and tuck in. You get to work. Place it in the shared coworking fridge. Back to your desk to start work and when lunchtime comes around, your back to the fridge and something is missing. The anger experienced from this is a strong one, and we can only assume that it was this experience that brought this handy flowchart into existence. Who knows, maybe it could stop sandwich thieves in offices everywhere. 10. Best Day Ever We’re not sure if this was a devious prank by a colleague looking to hinder the flow of work that day. Or if it was an attempt by staff and even the boss to liven things up on just another regular Tuesday, but either way the results are fantastic. When trying to motivate the staff, especially in situations where creativity is key, there’s no better way to get those new ideas flowing than reverting back to childhood nostalgia, and this ball pit is the ideal catalyst. Maybe moving around the office was a bit slower but let’s be honest it looks like a lot of fun.11. Leaving Can Be HardLife is filled with lots of different chops and changes here and there, and at times this is the most exciting part of the journey. Mixed up in all of that are the jobs, offices, and colleagues we meet and leave along the way, so at times saying goodbye can be hard. But sometimes, saying goodbye can also be misinterpreted as something else. Hopefully, this cake was made out of fun and not out of a worry that the person leaving hated those he worked with. We can only hope the going away party was one of laughs and tasty cake. 12. “Nice Spelling”Some people aren’t fantastic at getting sarcasm. We all know them. Like that one friend or colleague who we sometimes have to explain or even warn that we’re being sarcastic. And I think we’ll all agree if you have to explain sarcasm it kind of ruins the joke. So I hope this hilarious office joke was appreciated for it’s sarcastic and clever elements. More than likely it’s coming from that one office employee who loves to hit the office with sarcasm Monday to Friday. And again if we have to explain it, you might not get it. 13. Has Anyone Seen A Velociraptor? On to our next workplace day count, and this one is just as funny as the last. If you’re afraid of dinosaurs, this sign will reassure you not to worry. Keeping count of incident-free days can always inspire confidence in the safety of your surrounding at work. And We don’t know about you but we’re delighted to know there have been no Velociraptor incidents in the past 65 odd million years. The funniest thing about this poster informing all the staff is that it’s updated on a daily basis. Someone really wants everyone to know about this safety record. 14. Did You Forget Something?Everyone can be forgetful now and then, but some people are would really lose their heads if they weren’t attached to their bodies. So as human beings, we’ve invented many ways to help us remember. From reminders on our phones to diaries and of course the classic Post-It. We’re not sure if this guy was one of those people who could not remember to get things done, or maybe missed a few deadlines but it looks like his boss, colleagues, or even partner had enough. The Post-Its haven’t even all been filled out to make sure there’s room for his next reminder. 15. Maybe They Won’t Notice Again to the shared company fridge. As discussed earlier there is always the office thief who pushes their luck in trying to devour the rest of the staff’s sandwiches, Tupper wares and snacks. With he or she never really getting away with it. But whoever this refrigerator thief was, they gave had a creative distraction after they committed the crime. Whether they were hoping the Redbull drinker wouldn’t notice or perhaps it was to mock them. You have to say the creative process behind the creation is pretty impressive. That said would it have not been quicker to just buy a Redbull than making one out of paper?16. Surprise! It’s your birthday. You wake up in a good mood and make your way into work to be met by friendly faces at reception. on your way to your office a colleague says the office staff who appreciate you to the fullest got you some gifts. A smile on your face you enter your little section of the office and lo and behold, presents. However, these aren’t quite the gits you were looking for. In fact, I don’t think it counts as a gift it is was yours in the first place. Oh well, hopefully, the cake later will be better. 17. I’ve had enoughMaybe it was after one of these birthday pranks that this office worker decided he’d had enough of his colleagues at that the best way to get through it was to tuck himself away in his own fortress of silence. Or maybe it was that something from the refrigerator had been stolen. Like a Redbull, perhaps. Or maybe it was the fact that half the office was made into a ball pit for the third time this year and that the novelty of it all had finally run out. Either way, we hope this worker doesn’t stay locked in his own space forever.
